Annie Riddle
Dance Instructor
Annie Riddle’s professional dance career started shortly after relocating to Naples, FL from Chelsea, MI in 1981. Prior to moving, she had been involved with dance clubs in school and after graduation attended a Jazz and dance course at the University of Michigan and was Assistant Coach to her high school dance team. Only 2 weeks after starting her career, Annie started as a Front End Specialist and then started training classes as a new teacher at an independent studio here in Naples. This fed her passion for dancing, which included performing in showcases locally. After 2 years and transferring to a major franchised dance studio in Naples and then in New York, Annie took time off to raise a family. Still keeping a “foot” in the business through friends, the opportunity to perform again came in February 1999 along with a new professional partner. This opened the door to a teaching position in Ft. Myers, FL for the next 4 years. This included traveling from coast to coast to compete with students and perform professionally. Annie and her partner were well known for their exclusive performances at such events as the Women’s Expo and at the Broadway Palm Theatre in Ft. Myers. At present Annie does a great job at juggling her family responsibilities as well as teaching all of her students with a full time passion to share the love of dancing with anyone who wishes to enter the wonderful world of dance. She teaches Ballroom, Latin and Swing styles of dance, with continued training to ensure the most recent techniques in all dances. |
